Life at Berkeley moves fast. At A2F, you’ll find something different: friends who show up through thick and thin, late night McDonald’s runs, spontaneous sunset drives up Grizzly Peak, and a community of students learning what it means to follow Jesus together.
For over twenty years, students have walked into A2F and found their lives changed by the gospel. Broken lives are healed. Hope and purpose start to take root in our souls. And graduations mark only the beginning of a different kind of bond, as we continue to strive after Christ wherever life leads us.

Our weekly rhythms
A2F Sunday Gathering
We meet on Sundays for house church, We gather to study God’s Word, worship, and pray. We share learnings and insights with one another, and end with lunch together.
Campus Prayer Walk
We take time weekly to pray for one another and intercede on behalf of our campus. We open our eyes to the needs of our community and see the ways God is actively at work around us.
Monthly Large Group
Once a month, we get together for large group, usually with dinner, bible study, and lots of fun and activities together. We keep the other Fridays flexible for chill outings or hangouts at our homes.

SUNDAY GATHERINGS
The house church
House church is the highlight of our week. It’s where we grow in our relationship with God, build genuine friendships, and invite others to explore who Jesus is. We meet in a living room for worship, teaching, discussion, and prayer, and we end with lunch together. We combine with other house churches across the Bay Area once a month.
A2F CATALYST PROGRAM
Kingdom workers in our generation
Be equipped to live out and share the gospel on your campus. Catalyst is a semester-long discipleship experience for students who want to grow deeper in their faith. Through discipleship, training, and campus mission and vision trips, you’ll be challenged to follow Jesus with greater conviction and develop gospel fluency in everyday life.

From Berkeley to the nations
We believe God’s mission is bigger than our campus. We partner with churches and ministries to serve communities, share the gospel, and grow as disciples ourselves. A2F serves with Filter of Hope in Central America, Word of Life in Florida and California, and youth and collegiate ministries in Cambodia, Taiwan, Japan, and beyond.

College is a great time to explore and grow in your faith, and you don’t have to do it alone! Here are some ways you can grow spiritually at Cal:
Join a Christian fellowship. A2F offers connect groups, prayer and praise nights, and A2F Monthly, through which you can build friendships, study the bible, and grow in faith together. If you’re still exploring, Unity in Christ maintains a list of other Christian fellowships at Berkeley so you can find the right fit.
Attend a local church. At A2F, we offer a house church on Sundays where we gather together for worship, teaching, discussion, and lunch fellowship.
Check out our resources. Our daily devotionals are a great way to stay grounded in God’s word throughout the week. We also have Course 101, a 5-session class that explores the intellectual foundations about Christianity and offers reasons for why we believe what we believe.

A2F hosts welcome week events during the first two weeks of fall semester as a way for new students to get to know us! During the school year, our regular offerings include:
Sunday Gatherings: A2F meets weekly on Sundays for house church and lunch
A2F All 2gether Fridays: large group gatherings that once a month on Friday at 6:30pm
Throughout the week: daily devotionals, campus prayer walks, discipleship, evangelism nights
Throughout the year: retreats, mission trips, conferences, sports tournaments, service opportunities, trips and outings

A2F is led by a team of staff mentors and student leaders. Our ministry leaders, Richard and Jeanne, have a big heart for college ministry and have served college students for over 23 years. A2F also has a student council made up of upperclassmen who help plan events and support the fellowship.

A2F is part of the Acts2 College ministry network, which belongs to Acts2 Network. Acts2 Network is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Send Network church planting movement of the North American Mission Board. You can view our full statement of faith.

Yes! A2F is a participating member of Unity in Christ, which is UC Berkeley’s official Christian inter-fellowship group. If you’re looking for a campus Christian fellowship, we encourage you to check out their list of other Christian fellowships at Berkeley, so you can find the right fit. (We advise discretion with regards to campus Christian fellowships that are not participating members of the Unity in Christ inter-fellowship group.)
