acts2fellowship (a2f) is a UC Berkeley student ministry that meets every week to study the Bible and build lasting friendships. College is the perfect time to explore the big questions of life like, "Does God exist?" and "What am I here for?" At a2f, you'll find a safe place to ask those questions and seek answers alongside other college students. Throughout the week, we also hang out, eat lots of good food, study hard together, go on fun, memorable trips, and just “do life” together.
At a2f, we strive to live like the community described in Acts Chapter 2 – ordinary people forming an extraordinary community. So whether you are a Christian who wants to grow in your faith, or someone simply curious about what Christianity is all about, we welcome you to join us!
A time when we gather not only to listen, but also to discuss why and how the Bible is real and relevant to us in our college context. We also enjoy conversation and share laughter over a cozy meal beforehand. Afterwards, we do all sorts of fun things: go out for desserts in SF, gather in each others' homes for some spontaneous fun, have some healthy competition at game nights and sports nights, or just leave the city lights behind to camp out in the Sierras.
What is a Home Group? Picture a place where you’ll find other students you can build relationships with and learn about God’s purpose for us in a small group setting. At a2f, everyone has the opportunity to plug into a Home Group. You can think of Home Group as that home-away-from-home, where you can be yourself around friends, lean on someone during a hard week, and get recharged by God’s word (and maybe some boba too).
Not just any community, but one based on the portrait of the early church we find in Acts, Chapter 2 of the Bible. It’s a tall order, but as we try to live it out, we find it looks like stopping by one another’s homes, celebrating birthdays together, bringing soup and comfort food when someone’s sick, and getting to know one another on a deeper level as we share in day-to-day life through our college years. This is what fellowship is about. Come join us!
